The Application of Technology in Teaching Buddhism of Morality Teaching Monks in Secondary Schools Khung District, Chanthaburi Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study  the application for technology towards teaching of Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks in secondary school in Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province, 2) to compare the application for technology towards teaching of Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks in secondary school in Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province, 3) to study the problems , obstacles and suggestions for development  to the application for technology towards teaching of Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks in secondary school in Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province.

             This research is the mixed research method. For the quantitative research is collected the data from the sampling group from the 306 students of secondary school from grade 7 to 12 of Khung District, Chanthaburi province. The data analysis is also used by the ready programme for research of social sciences. The researcher had the data analysis through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation(S.D) one-way analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA) for testing the difference between the averages from three or more groups with LSD (Least Significant Different).and the qualitative research  had the in-depth interview from  11 key informants and data analysis by using the content analysis technique.

The research findings were as follows:

  1. The students had the opinions to the application for technology towards teaching of Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks in secondary school in Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province as a whole was at the middle level with an average of 3.25
  2. The findings from comparison of the application for technology towards teaching of Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks in secondary school in Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province, classified by personal status , found that the students who had the differences of sex, age, and class , had the opinions to the application for technology towards teaching of Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks in secondary school in Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province differently. But the students who had the difference of average grade and school, had the opinions to application for technology towards teaching of Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks in secondary school in Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province indifferently. It rejected the hypotheses.
  3. The problems, obstacles and suggestions to the application for technology towards teaching of Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks in secondary school in Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province, found that the publishing , electronics , lack of budget for arranging and the form of contents of uninteresting publishing to students, internet system that the major personnel do not understand the technology and contents that make uninteresting.

             The suggestions to the application for technology towards teaching of Buddhism subject of moral teaching monks in secondary school in Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province, found that should have arranged the media of learning the subject as the curriculum of educational institution, having the activity to improve the skill for supporting the qualification of moral teaching monks and teaching curriculum must have transfer the direct contents , should have the teaching plan, to have the curriculum activity development, should have the training to use the modern technology of Buddhism subject to moral teaching monk, should have the training to the moral teaching monks for the teaching management directly to the objective of curriculum, to have the technology in the globalization age and should have the budget for arranging the equipment to teaching  sufficiently to the demand of teachers and students.
