Working Motivation of Personnel in Dusit District Office, Bangkok
Abstract
The objectives of this research were; 1) to study the working motivation of personnel at Dusit District officeม Bangkok, 2) to compare the working motivation of personnel at Dusit District office Bangkok and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and recommendations for the working motivation of personnel at Dusit District office Bangkok. Methodology was the mixed methods between the quantitative and qualitative researches. The quantitative research collected data from 290 samples selected by Simple random sampling from the populations of 1,092 persons who were the personnel at Dusit District office. The qualitative research was conducted by In-depth-interviewing 7 key informants who were purposefully selected from experts Data analyzing was used Content Analysis Technique
Findings were as follows:
The working motivation of personnel at Dusit District officeม Bangkok that by overall the motivation and Supporting factors aspect was at middle level (=3.60, S.D. = 0.62) The comparison of the working motivation of personnel at Dusit District officeม Bangkok classified by personal factors was that the samples with different gender, age, working experience, educational level and income per month were not different, so it rejected the set hypothesis.
The problems and obstacles of the working motivation of personnel at Dusit District officeม Bangkok were as follows: personnel were not placed on the appropriate job, the routine and special work was not finished on time, lacking of personnel participation in the job performance in the organizations, welfare was not enough for personnel and lacking of the budget to support the career education for personnel.
The recommendations were as follows: appoint of the personnel should be made according with the appropriate capacity to work, There should be improvement for the job assignment process. Job distribution to personnel should be made appropriately for so that the work would be finished in time. Responsibility consciousness and participation must be promoted in the organization. Budget planning for welfares and education of the personnel should be made appropriately.
